| Travelling through Equator in winter 2007 I came across World Press Photo in a magnificent open air space right in the heart of the picturesque colonial part of Quito. The place was crowded. Mainly natives along with some Europeans . My focus was on the public and particularly on children's reaction facing the horror of war scenes. The atmosphere in the whole place was loaded with consternation and emotion the way I had never sensed in any museum or gallery before. |
